|It was a good start to the season from Chris Jordan’s side as they won their first game against Glamorgan by 4 wickets. In a nail-biting contest, the side held onto its nerves in the final overs and rode home to victory. The side would look for a good start from Jason Roy and Will Jacks. Rory Burns, Laurie Evans, and Sam Curran add strength to the middle order. The side would also expect big hitting from Sunil Narine, Jordan Clark, and Jamie Overton. Reece Topley and Curran will look to strike early in this game and make use of the conditions. Sunil Narine is in good form and the side would like to see good spells in the middle overs from him and Overton. Daniel Worrall and Jordan add to the side’s bowling depth.
|Jack Taylor’s side gained form in the last game as they defeated Sussex Sharks by 41 runs. It was a good show by their batsmen as they put up 193 runs on the board. Their bowling attack also made recovery after the nightmare in the first game. Miles Hammond and James Bracey make a formidable opening pair and runs would be needed from them. Ian Cockbain, Glenn Phillips, and Ryan Higgins are good players in the middle overs and they would have to put up a good fight against Surrey’s strong bowling attack. David Payne and Naseem Shah bowled good lines in the last game and this would add to their confidence. Benny Howell also looked good and he will have to do well in the middle overs. Paul van Meekeren and Higgins must come up with good spells in the supporting role in this game.
Surrey to win
Surrey has all bases covered heading into this game. Their batting line-up is strong and the side also has depth in bowling. This would make them favourites to win this game.
|Adam Lyth is likely to lead the side in absence of Joe Root who will be busy with the national team. The side hasn’t had the best run so far and comes here with a 31-run loss against the Leicestershire Foxes. Dawid Malan has done well and the side would like to see a good start from him and Lyth. Harry Brook and Tom Kohler-Cadmore are good players for this format of the game and they would look to set the stage for the likes of Shahdab Khan and Jordan Thompson to do the heavy lifting. Matthew Revis and Harris Rauf have to do well with the new ball. Adil Rashid, Dom Bess, and Shahab Khan are experienced bowlers and the side would want to see good performances from them.
|Shan Masood would be happy with the massive win in the last game against Leicestershire Foxes. They did well with the bat and the ball to win the game by 70 runs. They haven’t defeated Yorkshire in the last two seasons shall look to get over this here. Masood has looked in good form but other batsmen are failing to convert their starts. Luis Reece and Harry Came will have to do well at the top and the side would also like to see Wayne Madsen, Brooke Guest, and Leus du Plooy score quick runs down the order. Madsen and Hayden Kerr will have to strike early in this game as they take on a strong batting line-up. Mark Watt, Matt McKiernan, and George Scrimshaw will need to do well in the supporting role.
Yorkshire to win
Yorkshire Vikings have enjoyed a good record against the Derbyshire Falcons in the past. They play at their home ground with good knowledge of the conditions and this would make them favourites.
Lancashire to win
Lancashire Lightning have more depth in their batting as well as bowling and this would put them slightly ahead of Notts Outlaws in this game.
|After starting the season with a win Simon Harmer’s side went down against Somerset in their last game by 6 wickets under the DLS method. Batting first the side suffered a collapse and they would look to put this behind them. Adam Rossington and Will Buttleman will be expected to provide the side with a solid start in this game. They have good hitters in the middle order with Michael-Kyle Pepper, Paul Walter, and Matthew Critchley on the side. Their bowling attack proved ineffective in the last game and the side would need good spells from Daniel Sams and Samuel Cook. Harmer needs to bring his experience to play and the side would also like to see good spells from Aron Nijjar and Critchley.
|James Vince’s side suffered a batting collapse in the last game as they went down by 4 wickets against Somerset. The side batted poorly to fold up for mere 123 runs on the board. They will have to come out of his and do well. Ben McDermott and Aneurin Donald will need to stand tall and do well at the top. The middle-order has good hitters of the ball in Joe Weatherley, Liam Dawson, and Vince. James Fuller and Ross Whiteley add strength to the side’s batting in the lower middle order. Chris Wood and Brad Wheal have to bowl good lines with the new ball as they take on a strong batting line-up. In Nathan Ellis, Mason Crane, and James Fuller the side has a balanced attack and they would need to be at their best here.
Essex Eagles to win
Essex Eagles are playing at home and the side has enjoyed a good record in the past against Hampshire. This would put them slightly ahead of the Hawks in this game.
