Winner Odds Lancashire Lightning – 1.41 (bet ₹100 and win ₹141 if Lancashire Lightning wins) BET NOW Derbyshire Falcons – 2.90 (bet ₹100 and win ₹290 if Derbyshire Falcons win) BET NOW
Lancashire Lightning |After a tied game to start their T20 Blast 2022 campaign, Lancashire won two consecutive matches. After taking a wicket on the last ball of their first game, Richard Gleeson starred once again in the next match with a fifer against Worcestershire Rapids. While other bowlers also joined him in making a significant contribution in the recent match against Notts Outlaws, the Lancs managed to bowl out a strong Nottinghamshire side for just 91 runs while defending a total of 178. With players like Keaton Jennings, Livingstone, Tim David, Phil Salt, and Steven Croft in the lineup, Lightning easily have an edge over the opposition. Derbyshire Falcons |Falcons have done exceptionally well to bounce back after a losing start to the season as they managed to win back to back games. After posting a total of 159 runs batting first against Leicestershire, Hayden Kerr, Matt McKiernan and other bowlers helped the Falcons bowl out the opposition for just 89 runs. Hayden Kerr looks in great form with the ball while Shan Masood has been the consistent player in the batting order. Leus du Plooy, Harry Came, and Wayne Madsen will be other key players to watch out for in the Derbyshire batting lineup. They have a promising overall squad and we reckon this will be a close contest between Lancs and the Falcons.
Lancashire Lightning to win the match While there is great potential in the Derbyshire setup and their bowlers have shown great promise, in terms of all-round abilities, we think Lancashire Lightning are far ahead with experienced players in their ranks. They are priced at 1.41 odds on betting sites in India implying a high probability of a win.
Winner Odds Gloucestershire – 1.91 (bet ₹100 and win ₹191 if Gloucestershire wins) BET NOW Kent Spitfires – 1.88 (bet ₹100 and win ₹188 if Kent Spitfires win) BET NOW
Gloucestershire |With just one win from 3 matches, Gloucestershire will be keen on finding their second win of the season and getting on the winning track. They will be extremely disappointed after their recent performance against Surrey. D Payne, van Meekeren, and Tom Smith picked 3 wickets each to restrict Surrey to 129-10 bowling first. However, Gloucestershire batters failed to chase a below-par total and were bowled out for just 92 runs. In their previous outing, courtesy of James Bracey, Ryan Higgins, and J Taylor, Gloucestershire had put 193 runs on the board and successfully defended it. There is potential in the lower middle order of this lineup and with their bowlers in form, Gloucestershire has a good chance of making a comeback in this game. Kent Spitfires |Spitfires have lost three matches on the trot and are in search of their first win of the T20 Blast. The recent loss will affect them more as it was by the narrowest of margins – 4 runs. While a target of 172 runs wasn’t a big one, a poor start from the openers followed by a run-a-ball 33 from Joe Denly at number 3, and a below 100 strike rate from Jack Leaning at number 5 for his 13 runs inning meant Kent Spitfires were always behind the asking rate. George Linde gave them a fighting chance with his 38 off 13 keeping their hopes alive in the run chase. While Zak Crawley is likely to join the England Test squad for the upcoming series against NZ, Kent will have to find some other opener to join Bell-Drummond at the top. Sam Billings and George Linde are key players for Spitfires in the batting lineup. Their bowling hasn’t been in great shape and their key bowlers have been expensive.
Gloucestershire to win the match The betting sites haven’t implied a clear favourite in the winnerw market as the odds are almost the same for both sides. However, comparing the recent performances and form of bowlers and batters from both teams, we believe Gloucestershire to have a slightly better chance at winning this match.
Winner Odds Durham – 2.10 (bet ₹100 and win ₹210 if Durham wins) BET NOW Worcestershire Rapids – 1.73 (bet ₹100 and win ₹173 if Worcestershire Rapids win) BET NOW
Durham |After starting the season with a win, Durham have lost back to back matches and will be desperate for a win here at Chester-le-Street. In the last three games, Durham have had just one fifty which came from opener Graham Clark in the chase against Steelbacks. P Coughlin is the only other batsman to have played a 40 or more runs inning for Durham. Ashton Turner and David Bedingham are other key middle-order batsmen in the Durham lineup whose form is critical for the team’s win. However, Turner was rested in the last game and Trevaskis led the side and if the Aussie all-rounder doesn’t make it to the XI in this game either, Durham will be on the back foot as they take on the Rapids. Worcestershire Rapids |Rapids have lost all of their three matches so far in the T20 Blast 2022. In search of their first win, Worcestershire will need to put on a much-improved performance. Colin Munro and Brett DOliveira cannot carry the team on their shoulders alone and others like Jack Haynes, Ed Pollock, Jake Libby, and Ben Cox will need to step up and deliver. While Libby looked in good touch in the last game where Rapids were chasing 184 runs, he couldn’t stay and finish the game for Worcestershire. Along DOliveira and Matthew Waite, Dillon Pennington is also a key bowler in the Rapids squad to watch out for. Rapids need to find a finisher quickly otherwise the losses will add up way too much for there to be any chance of a comeback in the league.
Worcestershire Rapids to win the match While both teams are coming into this game on the back of consecutive losses, Durham will be slightly behind the Rapids if they’re coming here without Turner. Their batting hasn’t been up to the mark and while Rapids have also struggled, our T20 Blast prediction reckons Worcestershire are likely to bounce back and register their first win of the season.
Winner Odds Northants Steelbacks – 1.62 (bet ₹100 and win ₹162 if Northants Steelbacks win) BET NOW Leicestershire Foxes – 2.30 (bet ₹100 and win ₹230 if Leicestershire Foxes win) BET NOW
Northants Steelbacks |There are many positives for Steelbacks from their recent games though they’ve only won 1, lost 1 and the other ended without a result. After being bowled out for 81 runs in their season openers, Northants Steelbacks posted a massive total of 223 runs in the very next game against Durham. In the last match that was interrupted by rain, Steelbacks were pretty much on the top of the game as they bagged 6 wickets for 140 runs against Notts Outlaws with two more overs left. Matt Kelly, Freddie Heldreich, and Ben Sanderson will be the key bowlers to watch out for in this squad. The top-order of Chris Lynn and Ben Curran adds great strength to the batting lineup while Joshua Cobb and R Keogh will be crucial in the middle order. Leicestershire Foxes |The Foxes finally found their first win of the season after two consecutive losses. Rishi Patel once again came to the rescue of a falling Leicestershire batting order but this time he was supported well by skipper Ackerman who also scored a half-century at number 5. The two added 109 runs for the 5th wicket which changed the course of the game. Naveen-ul-Haq and Ben Mike helped defend the total quite comfortably. Callum Parkinson and Roman Walker are other key bowlers in the Leicestershire setup. Though they secured a win in the last match, their batting troubles are far from over. The top and middle-order are yet to find their rhythm and cannot be dependent on the Patel and Ackerman to carry the team on their shoulders every single time.
Northants Steelbacks to win the match Foxes will be confident coming into this game after their recent win. However, the Steelbacks have their departments of batting and bowling in a better shape and will be our favourites to win this match.
Winner Odds Somerset – 1.67 (bet ₹100 and win ₹167 if Somerset wins) BET NOW Sussex Sharks – 2.20 (bet ₹100 and win ₹220 if Sussex Sharks wins) BET NOW
Somerset |Somerset are on a roll with 3 back to back wins and will be looking to extend their winning run. All of these wins came while chasing a total and the team is yet to bat first and defend one. It will be interesting to see how the bowlers respond to such a challenge for the first time in the season if Somerset are put to bat first. The bowling has been exceptional so far with Josh Davey, Merchant de Lange, and Lewis Gregory leading from the front. Will Smeed, Rilee Rossouw, and Tom Abell have managed to chase down all of the targets so far with Rossouw scoring two fifties from his three outings. It was only their recent win which was a tough one even though they were chasing a small target of 124 as Somerset lost 6 wickets on the course to victory. Sussex Sharks |Sharks found their first win of the season after losing two back to back matches prior to the win. It was a close call as Sussex bowlers defended 171 runs total successfully. Skipper Ravi Bopara was a critical figure in this win as he finished with 2 for 23 becoming the top team bowler for Sussex Sharks. While there are some promising bowlers in this squad such as S Finn, George Garton, Tymal Mills, Will Beer, and Delray Rawlins, the performances haven’t been consistent. Mills hasn’t been in great shape lately and may not be a matchwinner at this point. Sharks can pose a threat to the opposition in terms of their batting as they’ve got Rizwan, Luke Wright, Philippe, and Tom Aslop in their batting lineup. However, an inconsistent bowling attack might give Somerset just what they need – an opportunity to correct their recent mistakes in the batting department.
Somerset to win Somerset have a clear edge over Sussex Sharks given their consistency with the ball. While Somerset haven’t batted first yet in the league, the Sharks’ bowling attack doesn’t seem threatening enough to put Somerset on the back foot were the Sharks to bowl first. As a result, considering the overall strength, form, and consistencies, Somerset are the favourites to win this match.
