The broadcast of this league reaches more than 100 nations and across the world people enjoying the league, thanks to web streaming. Inarguably no other cricket competition in the world draws as much attention as this one. In terms of cricket betting too, no other cricket leagues come close to the IPL. The Big Bash League has seen intense competition but it still has miles to go to match the brand value of the IPL. The Bangladesh Premier League is nowhere close to the IPL in terms of the crazy fan following and the star power involved in the tournament. | | |
As a bettor, you may already be betting on the outright winner for the season. Millions of dollars would be at stake considering the size and scale of the season. The million-dollar question right now is – Who will win IPL? Our cricket experts have been following the news from all the camps. What are our thoughts on the Indian Premier League 2022 final prediction? Which teams have the resources to go the distance and make it to the finals? It may be a challenge to pick a winner before the start of the tournament but let’s offer you some insights into this season and make our predictions. This analysis is based on the team composition, the performances of the sides in the previous editions, and the availability of the core group of players right through the tournament.
IPL is by far the most competitive tournament in the T20 format of the game. We have seen close contests over the years as the best T20 players battle it out in the middle. Teams have seen rejigs and hence predicting for the Indian Premier League final 2022 is a big bet. Yet we have been following the teams closely and also kept a watch on the player auctions. Here are the three teams we believe have the best chances of making it to the final of the 2022 Indian Premier League # Mumbai Indians They are 4-time title winners and have dominated this tournament over the last five years winning three titles since 2017. 2021 was a bad season for the side where they made a poor start and never recovered from it. They have the strongest batting line-up with Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard, Suryakumar Yadav, and Ishan Kishan in the side. They have roped in Fabian Allen, a great edition considering the side’s struggle in the lower middle order. Dewald Brevis is an interesting choice as he is dubbed as baby AB for his ability to play strokes to all parts of the ground. Their only weakness is with the ball but their batting strength fairly compensates for it. The side would want to see Jasprit Bumrah lead from the front with the ball. The likes of Murugan Ashwin and Jaydev Unadkat are coming into the side and they would be expected to deliver the goods this year. # Delhi Capitals It is a shame that the Capitals couldn’t lay their hands on the trophy in the last three editions. They have been the most consistent team during this period finishing runner-up in 2020 and 3rd in 2019 and 2021. Rishabh Pant likes leading the side from the front and the side has strengthened its batting for this edition with David Warner and Mitchell Marsh coming into the side. Both these players have been in phenomenal form in the last 6 months. Prithvi Shaw had done well in the last couple of seasons and he would be tasked with providing the side with good starts. The side has a good fast bowling line-up with Anrich Nortje, Khaleel Ahmed, and Mustafizur Rahman in the team. Axar Patel adds strength to the side with his multi-dimensional skills and he would have to play an important role in the tournament. # Chennai Super Kings The defending champions can never be ruled out. MS Dhoni is known for getting the best out of his men with his calm head and tactical brilliance. At the auction, the side went it for its tried and tested players who have done well together as a team in the past. Devon Conway comes into the side and strengthens their batting which already has Moeen Ali, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Dhoni, and Ambati Rayudu. Dwayne Bravo, Ravindra Jadeja, and Shivam Dube add strength to the lower middle order. They are slightly weak on the fast bowling front with Deepak Chahar’s presence in doubt. The side shall expect Ali, Jadeja, and Maheesh Theekshana to weave the magic with spin bowling. Dhoni’s leadership is a big plus for the side as his calm head can rescue them from crunch situations.
These are the three teams we would have our money on to win the tournament and we hope to see the title contest between any of these three sides. If we are to pick two sides for the final our money would be on the Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. They are the two strongest sides in the tournament and they would start favorites for the season. Apart from these three two other teams can be considered as the dark horses for the season. Kolkata Knight Riders have found a leader in Shreyas Iyer who is calm and likes leading from the front. They have a strong batting line-up and a quality bowling attack which can surprise the opponents on any given day. Rajasthan Royals is another side that can punch above its weight. Sanju Sampson has been an inspirational leader. The side had a weak bowling attack in the last few seasons but they have strengthened it with Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishana, and Obed McCoy being roped in for the season. We will cover all the games and bring to you all the predictions during IPL 2022 along with the best IPL betting tips.
