Guyana Amazon Warriors | It was a poor show with the ball that saw Nicholas Pooran’s side go down by 51 runs in the last game against the Saint Lucia Kings. The side which has one of the best batting line-ups in the tournament hasn’t lived up to the expectations. Their top order has been in poor form, and this is one area the side would have to improve on going into this contest. They have had an excellent record against the Royals and Pooran would like to maintain the status quo and move up on the points table with a win in this game. Openers Mohammad Hafeez and Chandrapaul Hemraj have failed to provide good starts and they would look to do so here in this game. Shoaib Malik brings is a lot of experience to the table and he needs to deliver in the middle order with Shimron Hetmyer and Brandon King. Pooran and Romario Shephard have done well down the order and the same would be expected from them in this game. With the ball, early wickets would be needed from Shephard and Naveen-ul-Haq. Imran Tahir is in good form and shall look to do well with Odean Smith. In Malik and Hafeez, they have two good bowlers for these conditions. Barbados Royals |Jason Holder’s side is currently stuck at the bottom of the points table. The side has managed just one win in the five games they have played. They did put up a stiff fight against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the last game only to lose by 2 wickets of the final ball of the game. The side needs to pull up its socks and win this game to keep its hopes alive for a place in the next round. They have had a poor record against the Warriors winning just once in the last eight games between the two sides and need to come up with an inspirational show to improve their position on the points table. Shai Hope and Johnson Charles haven’t been consistent, and the side would look for a good show from them at the start. In the middle order, Glenn Phillips looks good and Smit Patel would be confident after his good show in the last game. Azam Khan, Holder and Raymon Reifer need to play good knocks down the order for the side to do well. Their bowling attack hasn’t fared well so far, and the side would need a good show from Jason Holder and Ashley Nurse with the new ball. Nayeem Young looked good in the last game and needs to bowl well in tandem with Oshane Thomas and Jake Lintott
Guyana Amazon Warriors shall win this game Barbados Royals has been poor so far in the Caribbean Premier League. While their batsmen have fared poorly it is the bowling attack that is causing trouble for the side. Most of their bowlers have failed to bowl in the right areas and this is one area the side would have to improve on in this game. A loss here would end all their hopes of making it to the knockouts. The Warriors too have struggled with their form and consistency. Both sides need to win this game and we hope to see a solid contest here. Guyana Amazon Warriors have a better bowling attack than the Barbados Royals and this would put them ahead in the game.
